Guidelines to help you prepare for and integrate your Kambo experience
Before Your Ceremony
Fasting
Do not eat for at least 10-12 hours before your ceremony. You may drink water up until 2 hours before.
Hydration
Stay well hydrated in the days leading up to your ceremony. Drink plenty of clean water.
Avoid Substances
Avoid alcohol, recreational drugs, and unnecessary medications for at least 3 days before your ceremony.
Set Your Intention
Take time to reflect on what you hope to gain from the experience. Setting a clear intention enhances the ceremony.
Rest Well
Get a good night of sleep before your ceremony. Arrive well-rested and calm.
Wear Comfortable Clothing
Wear loose, comfortable clothing. You may want to bring a change of clothes as well.
After Your Ceremony
Rest & Reflect
Allow yourself time to rest after the ceremony. Many people feel a profound sense of clarity and peace.
Gentle Nutrition
Eat light, nourishing foods after your ceremony. Soups, fruits, and simple meals are ideal.
Stay Hydrated
Continue drinking plenty of water and electrolytes to help your body integrate the experience.
Journaling
Write down your thoughts, feelings, and any insights that arose during the ceremony.
